Originally from Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Mark has been a Saginaw local since the 1960’s when he started his current law firm after graduating from the University of Michigan Law School. He became a regular attender of St. John’s four years ago, but didn’t become a member until he was interested in joining the church leadership as a vestry member. What Mark appreciates most about St. John’s are its rich history and rootedness in tradition.
As the Senior Warden, he hopes to see St. John’s focus its vision on integrating tradition with a changing world to keep St. John’s a viable place of worship, a welcoming place for new people and a force of good in the community. In his spare time, Mark enjoys taking online courses on a variety of subjects, including the recent selections of Early Christianity and Beethoven Piano Sonatas.
