Jeremiah Kraniak, Saginaw resident and St. John’s Choral Scholar, is spending part of his summer in Oxford, England as a Conducting Fellow in the Choral Music Institute at Oxford. This program is a collaboration between the Westminster Choir College of Rider University and St. Stephen’s House, a permanent private hall of the University of Oxford.
This selective program accepts only 20 conductors who will study with the acclaimed faculty James Jordan, Professor at Westminster Choir College, and James Whitbourn, composer and Honorary Research Fellow at St. Stephen’s House at Oxford.
Jeremiah also participated in the University of Michigan Choral Conducting Symposium earlier this summer and has been a past conferee at the Sewanee Church Music Conference.
St. John’s is really proud of Jeremiah, his continuous curiosity, and dedication to personal growth. We know that it’s this next generation of musicians that will continue to keep music in our Anglican heritage strong.
