This January, after the retirement of our long time church administrator, Jan Young, the office staff has started settling into their new roles.  Amy Simons has taken over the responsibilities of Church Administrator and held onto the responsibilities of Volunteer Coordinator.  She will still be your first contact for questions about ministry involvement, but is also ready to help with membership information, financials, Christian education and more.  Kelsey Dillon will assist with some of these duties as well as coordinate much of our church communications as an Administrative Assistant and Communications Coordinator.

Transitioning into a new role can be both fun and frustrating.  Of course, the first time you do anything the learning curve will be steep.  It is for all of us and it’s an ongoing process in our shared lives at St. John’s.  Building this community of worship and care can only happen if we embrace a steady flow of transition.  Each season, someone new participates in or leads a ministry, we improve or expand outreach projects and sometimes we need to bring one ministry to an end so another can thrive. But, each time we try something new or welcome someone else to the team, the task gets easier and eventually the team effort starts to produce a whole that is greater than the sum of the parts.  Thank you for all of your support!  We’re glad to be shaping this church community together!
